Couple among 4 found dead in Savar

Dhaka, Bangladesh Global:Police recovered four bodies, including a husband and his wife, from two different unions of Dhaka's Savar upazila on Monday afternoon.

Among the deceased, three were identified as Ruhul Amin, 35, and his wife Moni Akter, 26, both hailed from Paika village in Patuakhali Sadar upazila, and Nazmul Hasan, 28, son of Abdul Awal from Pirjipara village under Natore's Sadar while the identities of the another could not known immediately.

Police said, being informed by locals, they went to Yusuf market area under Yearpur union of the upazila and found the bodies of Ruhul Amin hanging from the ceiling and her wife Moni Akter was fallen down on the bed. Subsequently, they have recovered the body and sent to a hospital morgue for autopsy.

"It was assumed that Ruhul might have strangled his wife to death first and then, hanged himself with the ceiling," they said.

Earlier on Monday afternoon, police recovered the hanging body of Nazmul from Unique bus stand area in the same upazila.

They also assumed that Nazmul might have committed suicide over a family a dispute, police said.

"On the other hand, the law enforcers have recovered another body from Charabag area under Ashulia union of the upazila in the same afternoon. However, the details of the deceased and the actual reason behind the death could not be known immediately," said police source.

Ashulia Police Station inspector (investigation) Masudur Rahman confirmed the information, adding that legal actions will be taken after investigation.
