Dhaka, Bangladesh Global: A Dhaka court has sent BNP Joint Secretary General and President of Dhaka Metropolitan South Habibun Nabi Khan Sohel to jail in three separate cases filed with different police stations in the capital.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrates Md Moinul Islam and Md Akhtaruzzaman passed the order after rejecting his bail petitions on Sunday.
The court sentenced him to four years imprisonment in two cases filed with the Paltan police station in October 2017, and one and a half years in a case filed with the New Market police station in February 2018 on charges of obstructing police from performing their duties.
Meanwhile, in January 2015, another case was filed with the New Market police station on the same charges.
